What inspired you to embark on the fitness journey with your career?

When I was in high school, my strength coach taught me a lot about the foundation of exercising and how the body works. I followed his beliefs and teachings and I wanted to be just like him.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give anyone interested in becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist?

Practice your skills. Learning about exercising can be challenging, but if you put the effort and the commitment to your coaching skills, it can give you a better understanding on how to execute them. Also, never stop learning about the field of exercising.

What’s your favorite workout style?

I really enjoy hypertrophy training and strength training.

What’s your favorite song to listen to when working out?

I like to listen to hip-hop/rap, country, and rock songs, but my favorite song to listen to would be “ATM,” by J Cole.

What’s your favorite thing to eat after a workout?

Grilled chicken with brown rice (Trader Joe’s brown rice).

What’s one food that you can’t live without?

Definitely pizza.

What’s the best advice you have ever received?

Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent, hard work gains success. Greatness will come.

What motivates you?

My family, friends, and all of the staff at Old Town Scottsdale FAST and Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy. They have derived me to be the best coach and human being I can ever be.
