The Power of Implementing a Morning Routine

The morning routine is a major buzzword right now in the wellness and fitness industry. And if you ask us—it should be. What if implementing a morning routine helped you stop procrastinating, check off your to-do list, and even helps eliminate anxiety—all before 9 am?

Reasons why morning routines can be a good thing to try—especially as we transition from summer to fall.

Morning routines can help limit procrastination. You know—that wake up, hit the alarm, hit snooze, and then sleepily scroll Instagram for 15 minutes before finally rolling out of bed. Sound like you? We’ve been guilty of this too, and quite frankly, didn’t realize how much time it actually zapped out of our mornings. By creating healthy habits and waking up to complete something off your checklist, procrastination will be much harder to slip in.

Now, what exactly is a morning routine? To us, it can be a variety of things. Maybe it’s waking up and immediately drinking a full glass of water with a slice of lemon, followed by a fruit smoothie or a healthy breakfast. Or maybe it’s getting in a morning workout and then sipping on a protein shake before clocking in at work. We suggest trying it out and slowly it will turn into a daily habit, and you’ll forget about your Instagram feed.

Feel more confident and calm

Once you’ve nailed down your routine, there’s a good chance that you’ll start to feel a little less overwhelmed or anxious in the mornings—and that will carry through your day too. After all, we all live busy lives, but if you can carve out some “me” time for yourself during your morning routine, you’ll be surprised how you’ll feel more confident, calm, and accomplished.
